 · Candy Dreidels · Veggie Menorah Chocolate Coins The delicious coins have become a traditional Chanukah chocolate (and sometimes gum) binge. The coins are based on the tradition to give out gelt, money, on Chanukah. (See Gelt: A Tradition of Giving) Candy Dreidels Slide a ice-pop stick through a large marshmallow until just a bit of the stick tip shows through the other side. Push the flat end of a chocolate kiss onto this small tip, and you'll have something that looks like a tubby dreidel. Use icing to draw a Nun, Gimmel, Hey, Shin on the marshmallows sides. Chanukah Food Crafts - A Veggie Chanukiyah Even the under-five set can make an edible and nutritious chanukiyah. Slice a bunch of celery, carrot, and bell peppers into ½" wide strips - they will make the menorah branches. Use peanut butter to spread an outline of a menorah shape onto a paper plate or a sheet of foil. Stick the veggies onto the peanut butter. Admire the crunchy chanukiyah and then munch away.
