Sukkot is the baby of the family who deals with important matters of faith and unity with laughter, feasts, and song. Sukkot drives home its message with several props: the sukkah, a temporary booth or hut, the lulav, a palm frond bound together with myrtle and willow branches, and the etrog, a citron fruit that looks like a bumpy lemon. Sukkot engages every sense in celebration. We touch the lulav, smell the etrog, see the sukkah decorations, and taste the crisp cool autumn in every bite of every meal savored in a sukkah.
